Howard Dean comes to campus and I’m the only one who blogs it? I couldn’t have been there, come on people, where the hell are you?

I can’t say where the hell I am, but I can say where the hell I ain’t: listening to Howard Dean speak on campus.

I sat through (make that stood behind a tree) 40 minutes of insufferable babble only to leave before Dean came ( a move which may have payed off in the end). One highpoint/lowpoint: Girl explains that she is voting for Kerry because she is for womens health. Regarding this subject she mentioned at least 3 different times that ‘there are things going on that we don’t even know about.’ So how did she know about these unknown and mysterious things? The world may never know…

Matt:
There are more things going on we don’t know about than there are things going on that we do know about. Marinate on that.

I was at work that day …
Wait a second. Why am I even responding to this?

No kidding. Howard Dean is still newsworthy, Tim?

Well, I don’t see you people taking the initiative to blog things. I figure a one-line toss off to Dean is something at least. Nice post above, btw, Dan.

Indeed, Tim. I had every intention of going to the speech. I even passed the idea on to other staffers, as I knew I wouldn’t be there. No one went. And, let’s be honest, who cares? Now, if the speech had been a real jaw-dropper, full of crude sexual language and a visibly intoxicated Dean swinging at invisible enemies, I’d feel a slight pang of regret.
As for blogging it … you may be right about dashing off a one line post about it. However, I don’t know if I’d head it “For Shit Sake”, nor do I think I would impugn anybody else’s dedication for not having done it first.
We’ll certainly try to spew the speech, though.
