It’s Joe Biden.
Does this help Obama? Does Biden bring to the table the “experience” that the Obama campaign needs?

Obama should have picked Athan Papeiliou because he pretty much stole Athan’s campaign for change anyway

I am laughing my rear end off at Smirky’s pick of Biden, someone more gaffe-prone than Bush Deuce.
I’m waiting for who McCain picks, because if it’s anyone besides Mitt Romney, he’ll probably be able to sew up the election after flustering both Obama and Biden.

I actually read somewhere that a Newsweek reporter was quoted as saying that his sources had Romney pegged as VP.

What’s next, a third party ticket of Ralph Nader and Joseph Lieberman?
Jesus Christ.

Vincent: It was Mark Halperin of Time Magazine. And he had to pull the story, because the two sources he had were recently fired from the McCain camp (they were originally on Romney’s staff).

If McCain picks Romney it’ll be HAIRBATTLE: VP EDITION!

The real Hairbattle would’ve been Romney vs. Edwards.

Still not sure why McCain is a more attractive candidate for President…besides blind party-line voting that is.
With the way the Republicans have been the last 8 years, one would think that Obama could pick headless barbie as VP and still win.

I’m not sure you’re going to find much illumination on that point around these parts… but you already knew that.

I wouldn’t mind seeing a McCain/Huckabee ticket with Lieberman as Secretary of State. Maybe throw Condi on the Court, too?

I suppose if McCain picked that ignorant, fat hick preacher he’d be more likely to lose.

True. : )
As for Huckabee, at least he has a sense of humor.

“As for Huckabee, at least he has a sense of humor.”
Yeah, like that time back in ‘92 that he said people with aids should be quarantined and gay people “pose a dangerous public health risk.” Hilarious.
Huckabee seemed like the most personable of the GOP candidates, but his platform was atrocious.

I always thought Fred Thompson seemed like the most personable of the group. What with his bass playing (shades of Clinton on Arsenio), Huckabee came off like a phony, at least to these eyes.

I think you got them mixed up. Huckabee was the ex-fatty bass player. Thompson was the actor.
