In response to the Oregon Commentator's desire to cut student programs:

Students of color and underrepresented students at the UO are the only community members actively promote discussion and critical thought about race, culture and gender. We fought hard for our space in the EMU. The stipend I receive is necessary for my participation in basket weaving and trips to Burrito Boy (or Muchas Gracias).

It's because he has nothing to do. He's a bored and washed up hippie who really just needs to be punched. By Fred Thompson, no less.

If Zach only cares about Nike, why is it at every ASUO meeting, City Council meeting and god knows whatever other meetings he is out pissing and moaning about something totally unrelated to him? I wish he would go away....But these flyer's are equally annoying.

Yeah, the Playboy logo strikes me as funny. Apparently an old dude in silk robes and a bunch of nekkid women are corroding the very fabric of society with their rampant corporatism. (Not to mention that Playboy has been a staunch opponent of censorship and moral crusading for the past fifty years).

I've seen versions of this flag with the "Pizza Hut" logo on it, which I always found hilarious. They must have decided that cheese and tomato sauce on baked dough wasn't exactly the symbol of corporate treachery they were looking for.

Naw, this isn't Zach by a longshot. (1) Zach only cares about Nike, and (2) the poster just lacks that Vishanoff je ne sais quoi.

It looks like some kind of bad AdBusters knock-off with clip art from Corel Draw or something. I remember seeing a lot of that stuff around campus back when the whole WTO/Battle in Seattle thing was big news, but it sort of faded after a year or two.

I wonder who all is involved with "RIFRAFF". I hope we see more quality revolutionary propaganda from them over the course of next year. There seemed to be kind of a dearth of good posters around campus last year.

I'm pretty sure I saw the same flag in the Insurgent the better part of a decade ago. Westinghouse turned into Viacom; AT&T turned into... AT&T, but after SBC bought it and updated the logo. Not to mention: Playboy? MTV? This thing was essentially out of date when it was originally made.

P.S. Not to be alarmist here, but shouldn't that poster count as a "terroristic threat"?

Interesting that these are all corporate identity brands, except Microsoft is represented by two product identity brands. Giving IBM three slots vastly overrates their current level of influence. I'm not familiar with the circle-rocketship logo. I recognize the oval-cross, the crown, the umbrella, and the moebius, but can't put a name to them.

Let's send these kids somewhere that actually offers free food: the jungle. That will be fun for everyone!

There's seriously two or three more of these on the bulletin boards now than there were when I grabbed the one you scanned.

They're multiplying!
