(It has to be said, though, Kirk: if the goal was to get Dr. Deb Frisch out of academia, it has *absolutely* been accomplished. It’s not that we don’t appreciate your vigilance, you understand.)

UPDATE:

“Although I have never had a conversation with a UO DPS officer before, Ms. Larkin referred to me as “Ms. Frisch.” First of all, you might want to inform her that it is customary on university campuses to refer to people with Ph.D.s as “Dr. X.””

Awesome, a community where I can live out my Water World fantasy! Tooling around the Columbia on a tricked out catamaran in order to pick fights or haggle with other boat people over paper and dirt, sounds fantastic.
