Obvious Headline of the Day
“Homeless frequent West University area”
The real prize in this ODE article, though, is a quote from a member of Eugene’s thin, blue line, Officer Jennifer Bills:
Bills said many homeless people also have co-occurring disorders: They may suffer from both a mental disorder and a dependency on alcohol or drugs.
“These people are not cool, not a novelty. They are mentally ill,” she said. “You don’t treat people with cancer like they’re a cool novelty.”
What?

Who thought that it was trendy and cool to be a homeless addict in the first place?

Wasn’t that was that whole “grunge” thing was about?

Cancer: Collect ‘Em All!
“Woah, you got melanoma?! I’ve been after that one forever.”
“Fuck yeah, man! In fact, I’ve got duplicates! You wanna trade some melanoma for some thyroid cancer?”
“Well, I would, but my doctor said I’m going to be dead in two weeks.”
“Cool!”
“I know, right?!”

I leave my bottles and cans out for them to collect in the morning. I know they search for them, so I try to make it easy and put them aside from the dumpster.
I feel warm and fuzzy inside for doing that.

Gulley is not homeless but he does eat his own shit and lack a soul, so he is worse then a bum

Brilliant stuff, really.

Vincent, I think your comparison of Pokemon and cancer is actually pretty accurate.
I do like the cartoon, though.

How does “Gully Sucks” manage to consistently come up with an unending supply of annoyingly unfunny non-sequiturs to litter this blog with? I wonder if “Gully Sucks” is secretly Gulley himself, because I just can’t think of anyone else who would be that interested in hearing about Gulley all the time.

I think it would be ironic if we were all made of iron.
