I mean, he wasn’t my favorite candidate (though I’m not sure if I could even NAME my favorite candidate), and though he was certainly more socially conservative than I’m particularly comfortable with, he seemed like the sort of person who, if he’d actually gained the White House, might have been a moderate enough figure to stymie some of this bitter partisanship that’s really blossomed since the Clinton Administration and has clearly continued right through the current Administration.

I dunno. Probably wouldn’t have voted for him, but I’m a bit sad to see him go.
