I just got an update from President Emily McLain on the upcoming special elections. She said the tentative date for the election is Jan. 22, next Tuesday. The Commentator is trying to get a special election issue out on Friday, but it is a little hard without the information on what the students will vote on. McLain said she, and the rest of us, are waiting on Con Court to give the final wording of the new i-fee rules. The Con Court needs to get this done as quickly as possible so students have ample time to review and analyze the changes.

ahhh…I know why!
Because she hasn’t appointed about 12 positions yet and is in constitutional non-fulfillment, but still has the nerves to complain about the Court AND take credit for everything???

You know, you can just call her a big hypocrit, the fucking part doesn’t add much to your point. Just trying to tidy up.

Remember the June meeting of 2007…she asks the senate to review Diego Hernandez and they reject him. Her next three appointees are approved. Given voting power, the three new senators call for a re-vote and, this time, a secured majority ensures that Hernandez gets in. She was trying to pack the ASUO Senate with a bunch of former PAC-8 candidates that she made backhanded deals with.
And yes…she has had over 6 months and she still has several positions open. She doesn’t pay attention to rules or ethics, but she has no problem complaining about everyone else. And like most executives, all we are left asking is…what has she done since taking office.

That sounds like a violation of the Robert’s Rules of Order. How could something so obviously wrong like that happen in our esteemed ASUO government?
