That’s right, Chris, Christians interpret the Bible literally, and consequently are murderous psychopaths whose primary “”moral”" (with not one, but two sets of scare quotes) is “hate those who are different”. You sure summed it up there. Why, they’re no better than Hamas!

Seriously: I understand that Jerry Falwell is an asshole. However (speaking as a non-religious person) just because Jerry Falwell is an asshole, that doesn’t mean we have to be assholes as well.

ChrisD, I dont think that it is accurate to say that Christian values are “hate those who are different than you.” You seem to have A LOT of anger and hate towards Christians yourself. Also I think you will find that most Christians (yes there are always some that profess a faith and don’t live up to it) teach their children not to hate and do their best to love everyone as God commands. I think you have the wrong view of Christians and people of faith.

Okay, but here’s the thing about Veggie Tales: they are currently airing on NBC (along with a bunch of other Christian crap), except that the word “god” has been removed from all of the episodes. NBC claims that everyone can relate to the good morals in the show and, thus, doesn’t want to alienate anyone.

Um, what about those of us who think Christian “”morals”" (i.e., hate those who are different, await the (nigh!) second coming, you are a fucking beautiful and unique snowflake) are basically a bunch of crap people tell themselves to make themselves feel better about their crappy lives and crappy jobs working at Wal-Mart?
