I think it is common understanding that Emily wants to inherit the "Jared coalition" (aka Ms. Rees), which would be impossible (?) if Jared had ran. On the other hand, it is also my understanding that the coalition is no longer the unified force it once was... but I might be wrong. Emily being a member of "Jared's staff for goodness sake" seems to be mostly cooincidental -- she didn't have a problem running aginst him last year, right? Knowing them personally, they both would have likely run either way with the right running mate, which I think that they both have. I wish them both well in this campaign.
