ODE Watch: Daily Paper, Monthly Blog Edition

The ODE’s blog hasn’t been updated in a month, and even that post was ripped straight from Zane Ritt’s LiveJournal. Has the experiment in democracy already failed, or is it simply hibernating during the long, cold winter? Even more importantly, could this experiment be used in Iraq? Maybe blogging could win this war!

Update: Maybe the ODE is lending their experiment to the U.S. Army. That might explain its absence here and the escalating tensions in Iraq. How does Operation Jeff Jarvis sound?

Good to see you guys tackling the issues that really matter to students on campus.

  2. Ian Says:

Are you implying that democracy isn’t important?

  3. Meghann Says:

    yes

would it be better to have a daily blog and a paper every three months?

  5. Ian Says:

    no

    haha. i miss you ian.

p.s.– how are your grandparents? new orleans is improving rapidly, but lakeview isn’t.

  7. Ian Says:

    Kelly,

It’s kind of you to ask. They’re doing fine. Two of them have permanently moved up here to Eugene and are quite enjoying life in Oregon (they even appear to like the weather, which boggles my mind.) Another grandparent has moved to the east coast, but she would really like to move back if at all possible.

Most of my other relatives affected by the storm have stayed in Texas or Mississippi, with the one exception being my uncle, who’s moved back to the city (and his damaged house) in order to work and thumb his nose as the storm.

uhh…zane ritt doesn’t even HAVE a livejournal. you guys wouldn’t exist if you didn’t have something far superior (i.e. the ODE) to diss on.
