Pfeiffer at the Gates of Dawn
Former OC writer, ODE writer, student senator and roommate Eric Pfeiffer’s new daily web column debuted at National Review Online today. Bookmark it, and check in regularly. You’ll never read Wonkette again.
In other Washington journalism news, the Big O got the back of Jack Shafer’s hand in Slate this week:
The [New York] Times obviously competes with the other national dailies — the Journal, USA Today, and the Financial Times — but increasingly its target will be the anemic local daily, such as the Cleveland Plain Dealer or the Oregonian.
Anemic? Local? Daily? I can think of a few more broadsheets that fit the bill.

Eric’s blog looks fantastic — relevant, interesting, well-written, etc. But replace Wonkette? There’s far too little ass-fucking for that.

Just you wait.

Now, Bill, I doubt that John Derbyshire would approve.

Weird. I’m pretty sure the Oregonian’s one of the best local dailies around. Pick on the Register Guard for chrissake!

In other news, Crosswhite’s gone! No more height watch! :-(

Yeah what did he get busted for, anyway? The rumors don’t reach Indiana…

He got busted for being a lazy, pot smoking Aussie. By “busted” I mean that his pathetic play night after night prompted the team to stop doing what they are willing to do if the play is right: overlook. Ray Schaffer is pretty tall, you guys could start doing a “height watch ” on him. Or how about a height watch on Ernie’s fade?

As good a point to mention this as any:

Also:
“Noble said the hateful speech in the original incident would be protected by the Oregon and U.S. constitutions, but could be used to prove a crime of intimidation.”

I’ve read Pfeiffer’s blog the last couple of days, and I think it sucks. Wonkette it ain’t.

Sucks, as in needs more ass-fucking right? Also, it and NRO in general could really use some RSS feeds.
