Last week's Stranger was almost entirely devoted to spearheading urban secession. Check it out for a chuckle.

I've said in the past that we'll see another civil war in our lifetime, but that the dividing line will be the urban growth boundary instead of the Mason-Dixon.

But I love wilderness too much to ever be a real city boy.

I didn't understand what sort of outreach program the liberal community at large had going in rural America in the first place. Haven't they been barricading themselves in for thirty years now? I'd like to see one antiwar march that ended in Springfield instead of the Eugene City Hall. Preach to someone else, the choir snuck out the back.

There was a space between the = and the " that seemed to be the culprit.

Wait, is Dan Savage promoting the idea that government should have more control at a local level? That politicians in cities should focus on cities instead of worrying about guns and the environment in rural areas? Is Savage essentially advocating what small government Republicans have been talking about for years now? Is this what we call irony?

Also, I think the links were okay, it's just that copying and pasting from Word (which I think is what happened) messes up quotation marks.

Yar, I fixed it. Also, to echo my sentiments about one Hill-Meyer: Fuck that guy. Or better yet, don't fuck Dan Savage, let him get old and lonely and never get laid again.
