Hey, I’m following the baseball. I just don’t blog about it because I don’t know pap and certain much more knowledgeable baseball fans who like to cavil and expound would tear me to pieces. For example, what Tim just said two comments above? For me it reads thus:It’s nice to have another baseball fan around the blog, so welcome aboard! I think they’ll split in Boston now, and St. Louis will do really well at home, it’s a big disadvantage having to manage in an NL ballpark when you’ve been in the AL all season {due to implied distinctions between the two which, however obvious, are utterly beyond Danimal’s ken}. On the other hand, blah blah blah blah blah blah National League blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. But, blah blah blah blah some guy’s fat ass blah blah blah blah bat blah blah blah blah St. Louis?In spite of it all, go Sox. And tough break there, Tim, for your Astros.

It’s nice to have another baseball fan around the blog, so welcome aboard! I think they’ll split in Boston now, and St. Louis will do really well at home, it’s a big disadvantage having to manage in an NL ballpark when you’ve been in the AL all season. On the other hand, Francona has spent a lot of time in the National League so he might still be pretty familiar with the particulars of it. But, where do you play David Ortiz’s fat ass if you want his bat in the lineup in St. Louis?
