Dude, you have no idea. I relocated to Kisarazu, Chiba Prefecture (yes, Japan) after checking out of Eugene in August, and we’ve been hit by no fewer than 6 typhoons in the last 8 weeks. I was about 100k south of the eye of this one (#23), but Typhoon 22 (the Japanese just give them numbers, the names come from the US Navy) went right over me. Caused a landslide on the train line my wife takes to work, which they unfortunately had cleaned up by Monday morning.
At least this one hit us mid-week. I’m sick and tired of my Saturday nights being ruined by 250-kph winds.
